MAIB open incident data

Occurrence and vessel tables power the incident browser. They do not include a vessel-name or HIN column, so we do not use them to assign an accident to your boat.

9,063 occurrences; 9,830 vessel involvements. Source coverage 2020-01-01 to 2026-05-14; updated 2026-06-29. Dates are rounded to the first of the month by MAIB and displayed as month only.

US Coast Guard manufacturer codes

A public directory of manufacturer identification codes. Used for US HIN lookups only. It is not a register of individual boats or proof of manufacturing origin. Country-prefixed codes outside the US require their own national directory.

16,188 unique codes in the downloaded CSV. Historical assignments and out-of-business entries are retained. We exclude individual contact names, addresses, phone numbers and emails.
